It's an indifferent day in our life... Sau’s birthday . Due to our different schedules and being working day, there was no plan of family meet on Sau’s birth day. We could have meet on Sunday but on Saturday Sau and Priti had a very hectic day. I feel it strongly , that we should have met Sau on his birthday . Shri ,Preeti and Priti backed my feeling .They arranged our tour, purchased a gift . Ram declared that he is not coming to Stamford . We had decided to go to Stamford by Bus and surprise Sau . The job of travel by bus was little tedious ,being new for us but , bacche log arranged it with all care.
Shrikant came back from the office and dropped us at Hartford bus station . First bus was up to New Heavan .There was a break of 30-40 minutes and then the second bus was up to Stamford. In Stamford, there was little problem , that Sau's car is two seater only. Priti came to receive us on time at Stamford bus station and dropped us [ me and Jaya ] one by one. The program was not disclosed to Sau to surprise him.
It was really a surprise for Sau. He was pleased after seeing us . Priti had also a surprise for Sau. Home made cake and a gift of precious Bose’s QC2 headphones . Ram and others were on line and participated in the moment. Sau liked the gift sent by Ram. The display photo frame with 50-60 photos of Sau. The entire evening was spent in pleasant mood. Tasty Dinner prepared by Priti was served in the porch
Experience of travel in the bus was indifferent.
Well electronic display boards on front. Enterance from Drivers end. Wicket gate to passenger Driver can not start the bus if some one is on foot board and driver has to take care of passenger's security etc.
Bus was quiet big, neat and clean comfortable with fresh room inside. It also had battery charging ports. Driver was the only person doing all job ie driving ,checking passengers, keeping their lugage in luggage compartment, making announcement etc. Tickets were purchased at Hartford , it was of four pages . Ticket had 2 copies including entire schedule of journey with breakups , change of bus etc, and a discount coupon . We saw bus stops of Hartford, Bridgeport , New Haven and Stamford. All were spacious and well maintained with least public jam ; Say only 1-2 buses on 10-20 platforms at a time. Mostly bus stops were adjoining Railway stations. Everywhere display boards and the driver was attentive to serve the passenger to help the people. Incidently we saw waiting hall of New Haven railway station . Posh and clean like mall . At the backside, near the passengers' benches they displayed various train models very beautifully.
The strong desire to see Sau on his birthday fullfilled only due to all my loving childrens. and One of the precious moment of our life and USA visit stored in heart.
